Skills of Skating and Dancing on Ice

AppId is over the quota

Ice skating is a very popular activity. Because of this, it is often present in the media, not just on sport centred media but also reality television, documentaries and films. Blades of Glory is one such example of ice skating featured in films, where rivals learn to skate together in a comedic theme. A Documentary on Torvil and Dean was also aired some years ago documenting the duos life with skating, who also help with the TV program Dancing on Ice.

Dancing on ice is a popular television show in which Celebrities which have not previously skated before learn how to figure skate with a professional Ice skater. This concept is used in eight different countries, and in England it is presented by Christine Bleakley and Phillip Schofield, although Holly Willoughby used to co present. The judges for the new series consist of Robin Cousins as the Head Judge, Katarina Witt and Louie Spence. Each have their own specialities and thus judge the couples accordingly, i.e. Choreography, Free Skating and Figure Skating.

There are still rules to the competition, each couple must perform a dance each week, the judges will watch and score them between zero and ten. In earlier series, the judges were more lenient in the beginning of the series. This, however, was stopped with the judge giving truly indicative scores so that the public could be able to judge accordingly and watch the contestants develop over the series. Each couple must also perform certain moves each week which differ from week to week. For example assisted and unassisted jumps, prop usage, shad steps, cross rolls and change of skate to name but a few. The most adventurous move to date is the Head Banger in which only one male celebrity has performed in the history of the show in England.

There are over 250 people working on the English version of the show with Physiotherapists and Paramedics on hand in case any of the moves go wrong. There are also costume designers present and since 2006 around 1000 costumes have been made. Around 5500 to 6000 crystals are used on each dress with gold being the most expensive colour. There also must be people present to maintain and paint the ice. A special paint is used which comes from Canada which I painted on when the ice is around 4cm and a spray is used to paint the ice white.

Essential skills needed to be a good athlete

There are a few reasons that put more easily in the quotations, and it is because some people have the genetics of the rest of their family and how many parents/guardians pushed their children to be active and participate in sports. Everything I say, when young people have the genetics of their parents who are professional sports players. they have an advantage over someone who has relatives who have never played sport in their life.

Determination/Focus:
Zero and I repeat, nobody cannot become a good athlete to determine or focus because if you do not, then this person will be slack off the coast and lack the motivation to become something. Determination is another sense to me, that is the drive. With more drive to become an athlete or anything essentially can give you the advantage over the other, trying to pass you. In my view, the definition of the decision is with the will or the will to succeed the costs. Focus. You focus? Have the focus to become an athlete is essential because absent-minded become can lead you in the total opposite direction. These distractions include: Soda, fatty foods, prevaricating and especially drugs. Targeted maintenance will give you an advantage over the competition.

Resistance:
I admit, there are some sports that are not need much strength and conditioning, like others, but why not step try to become better than the competition in all aspects? Force is the ability to create high levels of force in a short period; not to be confused with endurance, which is for once extended. Packaging can result in force in a small way because more and more condition you your body, it becomes stronger. Building strength and conditioning are essential to become an athlete. If you seek a position on the team of sport or contest, that person must then add the strength and conditioning training in their daily lives.

Hand/eye coordination:
Coordination in itself is a very complex and essential skill to have because if someone does, then it will be that much harder to become an athlete. Coordination is basically how a person can react or respond with coming toward you. The lack of better words, Coordination is very difficult. Hand/eye coordination is to the eyes of a person and the hands can work together to find the right place at the same time. For example, in baseball a launcher is launching a 90 MPH fastball. Depending on how your hand/eye coordination is with the stick in your hands will be represent your ability of right time to hit the ball. An example of use of all three in a case would be a wide receiver in professional football. In the NFL, a receiver is in need of determination/focus as will help explore ways and have the will to win. A receiver without a doubt need strength and usually a lot of it. If the recipient wants to get media coverage at the beginning of a piece, then work constantly to become stronger and more just. Last, but not least, a receiver must surely because hand/eye coordination if it can not see the ball in their hands then stay in the NFL will be extremely difficult.
